The 47th annual year of #motherlodevolleyball is in the books! The new management group Fresh Tracks would like to share a few points as we work to create the finest destination volleyball tournament in the world.
Volleyball in the mountains
Aspen was awesome this year, with the leaves just starting to change and the weather absolutely spectacular every day. Many players went on hikes and bike rides during the day, as we now use bracket pal to coordinate play times. Check your phone to see when you are up and build the day around that. This is NOT just a volleyball trip, its a true vacation while you participate in one of your favorite sports- outdoor volleyball.
The Party
Sunday night was legendary. The bars were full of athletes that had playoff games the next day that were simply out too late, having too much fun. Don’t be surprised to see actors and musicians at the bar next to you. They love this place too, and occasionally make appearances at courts to check out playoff games!
The Play
The Masters National Beach Volleyball Championships are held Wednesday through Friday every year, sponsored by DIG magazine www,digbeachvolleyball.com. Top players from around the country were on hand to claim bragging rights for their age group. Check divisions on our website www.motherlodevolleyball.com and test yourself in 2020.
The Grass division finals are held at Koch lumber park (where the beach courts and bar/restaurant is set up). This helps to showcase their talents on front of the crowd, and there were many spectacular plays on the perfect grass of the park. The surface is some of the best you will find and its a blast to play in any of the court locations, each has their own charms.
The Open division finals went to Three games and were an unbelievable showcase of skill. Check out the website for pics and results www.motherlodevolleyball.com.

As we move into 2020, expect divisions to sell out early and lodging to fill up. Make sure and check the webpage for discounts and reserve your spot.
