The solid trunks are a true athletic boardshort with a shorter outseam well above the knees (16″). They feature super-durable quick drying 4 way stretch nylon fabric. NYLON is the new thing in shorts- its better wicking and faster drying, softer and more durable. It’s also less harmful to the environment, INCUDING recycled polyester.

We put it all together with a triple chain stitch to make it last! SIZE NOTE- This fit is right on, so slightly closer fitting than some of our past styles. If in doubt size up.

Boardshorts done better!

We built Our brand on boardshorts- literally. Anyone can print some tees and hats, but to design and create a performance boardshort is one of the hardest challenges in the apparel game. Lots of bartacks, off width diagonal cutting, and other technical things make it really tough. We had to learn or get out of the game, and we learned! Fabric selection is tough too- they have to last in SALT WATER and BEACH games. Who is tougher on their shorts than a volleyball player?

How much do they need to cost?

We try and keep our boardshorts under $60, while  the competition is retailing for more like $70. We do this by working closely with our fabric suppliers and production factories- who have become friends that we have made over our 20 years in the boardshort business. We make major purchases of fabric when they are on special and stock them in our factory. We use production time in the off season when its cheapest, and stock product until the summer. Building a quality  surf short is one of the most difficult things in the clothing biz- lots of seams and cutting. Its not cheap to do and cutting corners is not an option for any top tier brand. Our mission is to create the best gear available anywhere.
