Clothing design 101
Most of the time clothing and accessory design come straight from the customer, especially the really good ones like the new performance hoodie. I heard a lot of good feedback about our long sleeve wicking top for sports (it works well in the surf too!). I personally tested the sample in the all day heat and the cool desert nights on our last Baja trip and loved it. It became our best selling performance long sleeve. At the same time I had developed an alternative to the cotton blend hoodies and THAT style had done really well but there was room for improvement…
fabric and fit
I worked with my pattern maker with the fit of the old zip hoodie to add some size and slouch to it for a layering fit and feel (remember this top wicks- take it riding as an underlayer in the winter), and used our tech tank material. Because of the fabric construction this stuff drapes like no other (which means the way it falls on your shoulders and down your body). That’s what brings a comfortable feel and a slimming look. BOOM! Our new Performance hoodie. The sample was so perfect I couldn’t wait to test it, and I think you’ll feel the same. light weight for pre game, working out, or hanging out. easy to layer and bombproof functional fabric. Packs tiny and wrinkle free.
Details are what matter 
We use the best flatstitch machines in the business, with the most experienced operators. Because of our almost 20 YEARS in the apparel business we have relationships with the best factories in the business. Put a PLASTIC CLOTHING product on the shelf next to any competitor and you’ll find as good or better details and quality. The arms on this piece have been slimmed down to give a very current fitted look, and the fit is LONG. This silky sweet fabric is spun from a sweat wicking, bacterial resistant, SPF 50+ quick drying polyester. Put it on and forget about it… pays for itself in sunscreen costs alone!
